Big Rig & Bowling Green

Truck Race & World’s Biggest Tractor Pull

Pulling
event

U.S.A.
12 days

Th13 t/m Mo 24 aug. 2026

The trip is organized by
PullingTours.com, part of
CountryLifeTours. Ruben
Fortuin, speaker and engineer,
Patrick IJsenbrand
superstocker and content
creator, and tour leader Anna
Regelink-Koetsruiter will
accompany the group. Anna
organized group trips for over
20 years and has been to the US 62 times before, primarily for tractor pulling. The friendly
atmosphere within the group is the reason many participants
return every year. Some are traveling for the 28th time already. So that says it all

Changes to the trip program are some times necessary

The tractor pulling competition in Bowling Green is the largest competition in the world. In five sessions, spread over three days, we see the strongest tractors in America. This event is also known for its large crowds both in the stands and at the campground; you have to see it to believe it! This year, we approach Bowling Green from the south and start in Atlanta, a region we have not visited before. That takes us to the
Smoky Mountains, the BigRig truck races, and the heart of country music: Nashville.

Travel Itinerary

Day 1: We depart from Europe on Thursday, August 13, and y to Atlanta. If you speak English, you can choose which airport to depart from.

Day 2: We drive through Great Smoky Mountains National
Park and take a jeep tour where we get to drive ourselves.
We also visit a shooting club; for many of us, it is a special
experience to re a rie ourselves.

Day 3: Today we visit the Big Rig series at the Smoky
Mountain Speedway. Here we watch truck racing with
American torpedo trucks on a dirt track oval. Drifting
guaranteed!  We arrive early so that we have plenty of time to view the trucks in the pits and chat with the drivers.

Thick smoke and melting rubber.

Day 4: We start the morning leisurely and then drive to Nashville, the heart of American
country music. In the city center, we enjoy a local brew amidst the neon lights before  checking in on time. In the early evening, we are driven around the lively streets in a tractor taxi and can then immerse ourselves in the many bars and venues with live music.

300+ drivers, 550+ hooks
and 45 ha camping

Day 5/6: Today and tomorrow morning, there is a distance of nearly 500 miles to cover.
We will break up the drive several times at truck stops, a typical American store and a
tractor scrapyard.
Day 6: We visit the Huron County Fair in Norwalk, Ohio. An agricultural show where animals, crops, and culinary arts are judged. In the evening, a tractor pulling competition takes place here, featuring, among others, the popular Classic Superstock tractors. The basis consists of tractors from before 1975. A great opportunity to view these, as they are not on the Bowling Green program.

Girls wanna have fun!

Days 8-10: Three days of tractor pulling in Bowling Green, spread over ve sessions! More than 300 participants and 588 “hooks”.

Before and between sessions, there is plenty of opportunity to visit the tractor pulling museum or to check on the participants, where a complete engine overhaul is performed on-site following major damage. Afterwards, also pay a visit to the 45-hectare campground, where the fun continues until sunrise.

Days 11/12: We get back into our vans and drive to Chicago International Airport, from
where we y back to Europe. Satised and full of wonderful memories of an amazing trip.
